Since the beginning of this year, economic and trade exchanges between China and Vietnam have continued to heat up, with new growth points emerging continuously in cross-border railway freight transportation. Besides goods like electrical transmission towers that were exported for the first time, there has been a significant growth in the export volume of chemical products and fiberboard. More and more products from Guangxi are being sold to Vietnam via the Nanning-Guilin "next-morning arrival" express freight trains, which connect to the China-Vietnam freight trains. This trend has maintained the cross-border freight transportation between China and Vietnam at high levels of operation. In March, the China-Vietnam Express customs clearance freight train transported 994 TEUs of goods, reaching a new historical high for monthly shipment volume. Since 2017, the number of imported and exported goods categories through the Pingxiang railway port has exceeded 753 varieties.
